Erroneous Orders
Provided I have not yet parcelled up an order, then I will do my best to cancel the order and refund you. However, please be aware that Paypal do not refund my transaction processing fees. Therefore this element of the purchase will be deducted from your refund amount. Larger companies are able to absorb this cost, but for a small business, this is a significant amount of money – particularly on overseas orders.
Despatch Times
Orders are generally despatched within one or two days, but this may sometimes be a little longer. Please remember that this is a hobby business, not a full-time business, and I am essentially a one-man band.
Overseas Taxes
Please be aware that if you are ordering from overseas, you will be liable for import tax and duty on any goods purchased from us. We are NOT enrolled with any automated tax solutions.
European Union Orders & GPSR
As of April 2025, I am not shipping to the EU. It’s nothing personal or political – it’s to do with the GPSR rules, which mean my products must comply with certain EU regulations – for instance CE marks and EMC declarations.
I am in the process of rectifying this, but it will take some time. I have tried to restrict as many EU countries from the order page as I can, but if you find an EU territory that I have not excluded, then please be aware that depending on the item(s) ordered, I may be forced to cancel the order and refund you less any payment fees I incur as a result.
Website Language
This website and any supporting documentation is presented in English (UK) language only. I have sold items to many happy customers across the globe, from many different speaking nations with very few issues. Please though, if English is not your primary language, make sure that you can understand all requirements for the products I sell. This includes:
- ensuring that you understand where to download build and user manuals (the Support pages).
- ensuring that you understand what is and what isn’t included in these kits (the item description page).
- ensuring that you understand what import duties/taxes you will be liable to if applicable
- ensuring that you fully understand these terms and conditions.
Complaints/Returns/Missing Parts
Please get in touch with me at the first opportunity regarding any type of complaint or feedback.
You must let me know of any missing or damaged parts within 14 days of receipt of the item. All parcels are fully tracked. The 14 days will start from the day the postal service says the item has been delivered.
Any complaints regarding overseas shipping should be dealt with according to where the tracking states that the item is being held. For instance, if the item still appears to be in the UK, I will follow up any issues, but if the item is held up somewhere in the destination country, it will be far better for you to enquire internally, as it may involve import tax/duties etc, which I cannot help with.
Second Hand Parts
Although most of the parts supplied with the kits are brand new, you need to be aware that many items are now obsolete, as they are simply not manufactured any more. I will always do my best to help you with any issues, but obviously I cannot warranty these types of parts for any longer than three months. Everything is tested before I pack the kits, but over time, all of these vintage parts are liable to failure.
Other Details
DragonPlus Electronics is a trading name used by John Whitworth. It is operated under a sole trader basis. All business transactions are recorded and reported to the inland revenue for personal income tax purposes. The business is not registered for VAT. Under UK law, a company or sole trader requires a turnover of £85,000 before having to register for VAT, and there is little benefit prior to that.
Our business address is: DragonPlus Electronics, 17 Willingale Road, Braintree, Essex. CM7 9FA
