Description
One tested and working HD63C09E chip, perfect for use in Coco and Dragon computers.
- Each chip is first checked with a BackBit Chip Tester Pro, then fully tested in a Dragon 64 using a hardware test cartridge to confirm additional 6309 commands (STW, LDW, etc).
- No risk of rebadged 6809E or 6809 chips here—these are genuine, fully functional 63C09Es.
- After dealing with many fake 6309Es from eBay and AliExpress, a larger batch was sourced from a reputable supplier at higher cost and import duty, but worth it to avoid counterfeits.
- These are classified as refurbished, but since Hitachi was the sole maker of the HD63C09E, any cosmetic refresh still leaves a true HD6309E inside.
- Speed rating isn’t guaranteed, as tests are done at 0.89 MHz in a Dragon 64, but given that even the B model runs at 2 MHz, these are at least HD63B09E.
